.This has been a unique collaboration between the quality of Eleanor Hughes’s etching plates and modern technology. Utilizing advanced AI-assisted digital optics alongside the highly detailed art work of a fine artist.
25 years ago my late father and I bought this collection of copper & zinc etching plates at auction they were very fine quality but they were in a neglected state. Etching plates were of limited interest as objects and the hard truth was that traditional physical printing was impractical .
25 years later An answer was found AI . The etching plates were cleaned, it was difficult and messy but it worked. Then the plates were macro photographed. Every detail was mapped in high-resolution clarity The word prompts and strict protocols were achieved through months of trial & error. The images had to be true to the actual etching plate.

I’ve been an antique dealer and collector for over 50 years, and my late father's experience spanned 75 years. We bought these etching plates together 25 years ago. His enthusiasm and appreciation for collecting in general and the etching plates in particular never dimmed.
